Dhyana Mandhir

It is recorded in history that when Sree Narayana Guru established the Advaita Ashram in Aluva, the Guru used to build a parnasala here and look out over the river. Gurudevs disciple Nataraja Guru says in his book Guruarul that if you enter a small walkway from the main road, you will come straight to the river bank. There, if you turn to the right, there is a small whitewashed building. When the Guru was in the ashram, the Guru would sit in this parnasala, unofficially looking out over the river, on a slightly elevated pedestal. The parnasala therefore has great significance. But when the parnasala was removed from there over time, it was a great desire of the devotees to restore it in the same form. The image of the Guru facing north and looking out over the river was in everyones heart. Shri A. V. Anoop, the Managing Director of Medimix Group, fulfilled this need. Now, at the place where he had built the Guru Parnasala at a cost of about forty-five lakh rupees, a meditation hall of the same shape and size can be seen here. This meditation hall is open throughout the day for people who are already practicing. This hall has been built to facilitate those who practice Upasana and those who meditate silently, completely remaining silent and not making any noise.
