Guru Puja Hall

Guru Puja is a tradition that was initiated by Sri Narayana Guru during his lifetime at Shivagiri Math and Aluva Advaita Ashram. The primary purpose of Guru Puja is to worship Sri Narayana Guru. Offerings are made to the Guru, imagining him accepting them, and the offerings are distributed as prasad to the devotees. This tradition began during the Guru’s lifetime and continues to this day. During Guru Puja, food is prepared with care and devotion and distributed as prasad to all the devotees. The aim is to provide spiritual satisfaction and alleviate sorrows. Even today, at the Guru Puja Hall, devotees are served prasad and meals with utmost cleanliness and dedication as part of a religious and communal service. Facilities for preparing and serving the food are maintained next to the Guru Puja Hall to ensure the sanctity and continuity of this sacred ritual.
